Rose Hill North Carolina

During numerous trips to Wilmington, North Carolina, I noticed a sign on Interstate 40 just northwest of my destination that said Rose Hill. During a recent trip, I decided to stop and check it out. I was surprised to learn it is the home of the world's largest frying pan. Lo and behold, there it was, right in the center of town. The townspeople have used it for community chicken fries. I immediately though that it was just what Dave Nichols needs for our community fish fry. Not sure it would fit it the Nichols' front yard, though.

Rose Hill has a population of almost 1,400. It is part of mostly rural Duplin County, population 54,000, which is home to the Duplin Winery and Mount Olive Pickles. If you come across a Rose Hill in your travels, take some pictures!
