FIRE TRUCK CRASH

Crash Reconstruction detectives are investigating a crash involving a fire engine that occurred today, Friday, Nov 21, 2003. Around 6:30 am, a fire engine assigned to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department’s Lorton Fire Station was traveling southbound on Lorton Road heading to a medical emergency call. The engine, with four firefighters aboard, entered a sharp left turn after Furnace Road and the passenger-side wheels left the roadway. The driver, Firefighter Clevis Hooker, lost control, turned sharply left, and the engine rolled onto its passenger side. No other vehicles were involved in this crash. The firefighters were transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with minor injuries. The circumstances surrounding this crash are still under investigation.

CARJACKING

On November 17, at approximately 10:10 p.m., the 48-year-old victim parked her car in the 7000 block of Spring Garden Drive. As she was getting out her car, she was approached by two men. One suspect pulled a knife on her while the other suspect demanded her keys. The victim turned over her keys and was able to get away while the suspects drove off in her car. The victim was not injured in the incident.

The suspects were described as Hispanic, 18 to 24 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, with medium builds. One was wearing a gray hooded jacket. The vehicle is a 1997 silver four-door Honda Accord with Virginia tags, ZEC-8240. SEXUAL ASSAULT

Greyledge Court, 6500 Block: A principal of a public charter school in Washington, D.C. was arrested on November 17 for sexual assaults that occurred with a foster child during 2000. In August 2002, the victim reported to police that between May and December of 2000, he spent several weekends at the home of 45-year-old Desmond Kirk Pierre-Louis of 6547 Greyledge Court in the Franconia area. At the time, Pierre-Louis was an Alexandria City respite foster parent. During these visits, Pierre-Louis sexually assaulted the boy, who was 14-years-old at the time. Pierre-Louis was arrested at his home about 7:30 p.m., and charged with forcible sodomy, aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a minor while in a supervisory relationship. Pierre-Louis was held without bond.

Jandell Road, 8800 Block Three handguns taken from residence.
Jane Way, 5900 Block Pressure washer reported stolen.
Kingstowne Village Parkway, 5900 Block Liquor taken from business.
Loisdale Road, 6500 Block Wallet reported stolen.
Manchester Boulevard, 7000 Block Purse reported stolen.
Springfield Mall, 6500 Block Purse reported stolen.
Telegraph Road, 6700 Block Golf clubs taken from parked vehicle.
Tobey Court, 6100 Block Lawn care equipment taken from parked vehicle.
Woodside Lane, 7500 Block Tailgate taken from parked vehicle.
Wynema Court, 6500 Block Purse reported stolen.
