Weekly Incident Summary Report
September 4-10, 2003

ROBBERY: Edsall Road, 6500 Block: A man entered the BP service station just before 1:00 a.m., on September 7, brandished a silver handgun at the attendant and demanded all the money in the register. The suspect then helped himself to the money, numerous cartons of cigarettes and the victim's cellular telephone before he fled. The suspect was described as black, in his 30's, five feet four inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a brown shirt and jeans shorts.

BANK ROBBERY: Kingstowne Blvd., 5800 Block: A man robbed a teller at a bank and got away with an undisclosed amount of money in the Franconia area. Around 4:30 p.m. on September 9, a man walked up to a Chevy Chase Bank teller in the Giant Food Store at 5870 Kingstowne Blvd, demanded money and fled the scene. The man was described as black, approximately 40 years of age, about five feet ten inches tall, unshaven, wearing dark sunglasses and a baseball cap. Anyone with information is asked to call Fairfax County Police at (703) 691-2131 or Fairfax County Crime Solvers at (703) 691-8888.
