History Day 2010
A large contingent of the Davies and Bunch clans gathered at the Franconia Mujseum's 2010 History Day to c elebrate the unveiling of Volume VI of Franconia Remembers Joe Davies, an Americna Hometown Hero.The group is bracketed by Joe's sisters Cassie (far left) and Pat (far right). Jim Cox (left) accepts the bell clock from the original Franconia Elementary School (circa 1931) from Donald Walker on behalf of Jac Walker, Don's late wife and a founder of the Franconia Museum. Jac preserved the clock at an auction in the 1960s after the system was updated. The electric clock automatically rang the bell to start school, recess and lunch each day. The bell clock in displayed in the Franconia Museum.
